Mr. Hari Prakash Chand, popular in Nepal as ‘Agnipunja’, was born in Chhatreshwari Rural Municipality, Salyan district, Nepal. Mr. Chand lost his father before his birth while he was in the womb. Despite facing extraordinary challenges, serious struggles, and obstacles, he is accomplishing his academic goal and is becoming an inspiration for many youths and people around his hometown and in Nepal. Based on the support of many friends and people, Mr. Chand pursued his Diploma (Overseer) in Electrical Engineering in 2002. He accomplished his Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering in 2010 with a scholarship from ‘PRABHAV’. Then, he achieved a Master’s degree in International Relations and Diplomacy in 2016. Now, he is a Ph.D. Candidate in International Relations at Tribhuvan University, Nepal.
His upcoming book “My Autobiography: Struggle for Education” will be published after some years. The story of his painful struggle for education will be covered in this book in detail, becoming a motivational real story for many youths in Nepal and other countries. His two books including an edited volume have been published so far. The first book “The Light of Hope (Translated from Nepali)” was published when he was at the age of 22. Till 2022, his nine research articles, and around 500 thought-provoking op-ed articles (Nepali and English) have been published in national and international newspapers. Likewise, he is involved in more than 100 radio and television debates on foreign affairs and presented 15 conference papers in national and international seminars held from 2016 to 2022 by various national and international academic institutions.
